Introduction
The Orochi exhibits great fluidity with its exotic looks. The unique-looking mid-engined Orochi sports car is named after an eight-headed serpent from Japanese folklore.
The Orochi is Mitsuoka's range of retro designs based on modern cars. The Orochi first appeared as a 2001 concept car, and from the looks of things, the production vehicle stays very true to the concept of efficiency and ease of use. The Orochi was introduced at a press conference that opened with a Kabuki show in 2001 where a white model of the sports car was driven onstage. The Orochi produces around 230 horsepower and uses a Toyota 5-speed automatic. This is a car that speaks of exclusivity. The Orochi's design approach is to vividly and directly appeal to one's sight, spirit and sensitivity.
